Funeral Order-of-Service Printing in Hull
A5 order-of-service booklets designed, proofed and printed around the date of the service.
Most orders are four-page or eight-page A5 booklets, although longer and larger formats are regularly produced. Send a finished PDF, separate wording and photographs, or bring everything into our Hull premises and we will organise it.

Which Order-of-Service Format Should You Choose?
The right format depends mainly on the amount of wording, the number of photographs and how the booklet will be used during the service.

What Can You Send Us?
You can send finished artwork, a Word document, emails, separate photographs, hymn sheets or notes from the celebrant. You do not need to arrange the pages yourself.
If it is easier, bring everything to Unit 6 Lee Smith Street. We can scan original photographs, type short pieces of supplied wording and organise the material into a clear running order. A PDF proof is supplied so the family can check names, dates, wording, photographs and page order before printing.
- Typed or handwritten running order and readings
- Digital photographs or original printed photographs
- Hymn and song words supplied by the family or celebrant
- Donation, wake and acknowledgement details
- Existing artwork from a funeral director or designer
How Quickly Can Order-of-Service Booklets Be Printed?
Same-day and next-day printing is often possible for common A5 formats, particularly when the wording and photographs are ready and the proof can be approved promptly. Page count, quantity and finishing affect the timescale. Call as early as possible with the service date and we will give an honest answer.
Paper, Covers and Finishing
Paper and finishing are chosen after we know the page count, quantity and completion date. We will recommend options that reproduce photographs clearly and feel suitable in the hand.
Paper Choice
Smooth coated papers reproduce photographs and colour well. Uncoated papers provide a softer, natural feel. The most suitable weight depends on whether the booklet is folded or stapled.
Stapled Booklets
Eight-page and longer booklets are commonly saddle stitched with two staples through the fold. This keeps the pages secure and allows the booklet to open comfortably.
Ribbon Binding
Ribbon binding is available for selected booklet formats and creates a more bespoke finish. It needs additional preparation, so it may not suit the shortest deadlines.

The process is kept straightforward, even when the service date is close.

Order-of-Service Printing Questions
Clear answers about booklet production and supplying content.
What is the most common funeral order-of-service size?
A5 is the most common finished size because it is easy to hold during the service and gives enough room for readable text and photographs. Four-page folded and eight-page stapled A5 booklets are requested most often, but longer and larger formats are available.
Can you print an order of service the same day?
Same-day printing is often possible for straightforward A5 booklets when all wording and photographs are ready and the proof is approved promptly. Quantity, page count and finishing affect the deadline. Call 01482 328677 as soon as possible so we can check the production schedule.
Do I need to supply print-ready artwork?
No. Send or bring the wording, photographs and any notes you have. We can arrange the complete booklet and provide a proof before printing. If artwork has already been prepared, we can also check the PDF and explain any changes needed for production.
Can an order of service contain more than eight pages?
Yes. Twelve-page, sixteen-page and longer booklets are regularly produced when more space is needed for readings, tributes, hymn words or photographs. Booklet page counts normally increase in multiples of four because of how folded printed sheets are assembled.
Can you print hymn or song lyrics?
We can print lyrics supplied for the booklet, but the family or organiser is responsible for confirming that any necessary permission has been obtained. Your celebrant, minister or venue may already have guidance about the material used during the service.
Do you deliver to funeral directors or service venues?
Collection from our Hull premises is available, and local or nationwide delivery can be arranged where the timetable allows. Tell us the service date, venue and required delivery time when requesting the quote.
