THE IMPORTANCE OF
PROOFS
We issue proofs because we want what you want - and that
is to make sure your job is just right.
You are urged to study each set of proofs very carefully,
remembering that changes become progressively more involved
and expensive to make. Catching mistakes - yours or ours -
as early as possible will save money, time, and mental anguish.
While Fisk Printers Ltd. make every effort to see that your
job is correct, proofing is ultimately a customer
responsibility; and we cannot be held accountable
for the errors we both overlook. Again, check every proof
as carefully as possible, and let us know immediately if what
you see is not what you want.
Remember to check your proof carefully, not only for layout
and content, but also for important details like address,
and telephone/fax numbers.
If you view a pdf proof on line, or you receive an inkjet
proof, please note these are issued to check content and layout,
and give a reasonable visual guide of colour. Neither can
be relied upon for colour accuracy. If this is critical, then
for the closest visual colour representation you must ask
for a Cromalin, which is charged extra.
When you approve your proof you are accepting responsibility
that it is correct.
Mistakes cannot be rectified once the job is printed. If
rework is required to correct a job which has been approved,
then it is chargeable.
